Our goal at the John A. Moran Eye Center is to provide the best eye care available while finding better treatments and cures for blinding conditions, including age-related macular degeneration (AMD), glaucoma, cataracts, and cornea and external eye diseases. With more than 40 ophthalmologists, 13 optometrists, and 34 research faculty members, we have specialists in every field of vision care and research.
Forty years ago when he began his tenure at the University of Utah, Dr. Randall J Olson envisioned a world-class eye center that could provide hope, understanding, and treatment to the people of Utah. Faculty also train 12 residents, four interns, and up to 13 fellows a year in one of the nation’s most selective and highly-regarded academic programs.
